SR Inc was pleased to host its 8th and final meeting of the year, the Summit on Sustainable Business IV: Sustainability Shaping Savings & Strategy November 28-29, 2012. The event brought together top leaders in the global move to more sustainable business, serving as a high point for our business service and reflecting the continued dramatic growth of business engagement in sustainability to drive business advantage.
Summit IV, held at the historic Willard InterContinental Hotel, included a VIP Dinner November 28th, followed by the full-day Summit November 29th. The conference featured SR Inc’s annual SBER Sustainability Diagnostic & Assessments results and panel discussions regarding SR Inc’s Executive Guidance on Employee Engagement for Sustainability, Managing IT Impacts on Real Estate, and The Path to Higher Performance. It also included a discussion of Public Partners in Driving Change, featuring top U.S. GSA, EPA and Department of Energy leaders, as well as presentations of the 2012 Outstanding Leadership Awards. During lunch, special guest Eric Lowitt presented on his new book, The Future of Value, a copy of which was provided to participating leaders.
This year’s Summit featured a new dynamic in morning and afternoon Breakout Sessions for both the Real Estate Leadership Council (RLC) and Enterprise Leadership Council (ELC) which discussed Sustainability Shaping Savings and Strategy, as well as beginning the Charter Advisor Process (ELC & RLC) for 2013. We would like to especially thank those Member-Clients who participated as Panelists and Council Leaders.
