Leadership in Action
Commonwealth Climate Coalition
On October 1st, SR Inc sponsored the Commonwealth Climate Coalition’s third Higher Education Roundtable on cleantech workforce development. The series connects labor, education, and government stakeholders to discuss how their collaboration could help overcome barriers to scaling Massachusetts’ cleantech workforce to what the state’s clean energy goals require.
SR Inc Executives Attend Future Bridge Events’ 2nd Net Zero Energy Sourcing & Power Purchase Agreements conference
Jim Boyle, SR Inc’s CEO & Founder, and Julia Rothfield, Manager of Research & Advisory Services, connected with European clean energy buyers and developers on their September Berlin trip.
Jim presented on VPPA 2.0, a new transaction type that optimizes aggregated procurement, and the importance of preserving the global energy attribute certificate market’s credibility.
Net Zero Consortium for Buyers (NZCB) Updates
Prairie Solar Media Coverage
Power Magazine, Solar Industry Magazine, Renewables Now, and Solar Power World covered the announcement of the NZCB’s fourth aggregated procurement. The 135-megawatt offtake of the Prairie Solar project in Champagne County, Illinois helps to cause renewable energy in a carbon-intensive portion of the nation’s grid.

Member-Client Executive Highlight
Faith Taylor, Kyndryl’s SVP of Global Citizenship & Sustainability
One of Sustainability Magazine’s 2024 Top 10 Women in ESG, Faith Taylor has charted Kyndryl’s sustainability efforts since 2021. She recently worked with SR Inc to develop Science Based Targets, which got approved this fall, and released Kyndryl’s second corporate citizenship report since its 2021 inception.
We’re excited to welcome Faith as the keynote speaker of Summit for Sustainable Business VIII: Decarbonizing Corporate Global Operations. We look forward to learning from her leadership journey, Kyndryl’s sustainability advancements, and her insights into whether enterprises can center human dignity as they respond to human-caused climate change.
Member-Client Spotlights
Aritzia published its FY2024 Community ESG Report
Dedicated to quality, craftsmanship, and timelessness, Aritzia reported sustainability milestones including:
- Mitigating 100% of Boutique, Support Office, and Distribution Center energy usage with purchased Renewable Energy Credits (RECs)
- Certifying 34% of 2023 raw materials as “lower impact” by an independent third party
- Sourcing 37% of 2023 polyester from certified recycled sources
Juniper Networks published its 2024 CSR Report
A pioneer in networking innovation, Silicon Valley-based Juniper Networks reported sustainability milestones including:
- Committing to SBTi, submitting short-term and net zero targets for approval
- Auditing North American facilities for decarbonization opportunities
- Building a plan to divert at least 90% of its annual e-waste
- Launching a Take Back program to support customers’ zero waste, Scope 3, and net zero goals
Synopsys published its 2023 ESG Report
Synopsys Inc focuses its “Smart Future” strategy on how its design automation tools and intellectual property can most promote human progress. Its report details environmental initiatives including:
- Pursuing PPAs and VPPAs in its global operating regions, with projects already in Texas and India
- Prioritizing sustainable design, including through ~1.4 million square feet of green-certified office space worldwide
- Working to consolidate and decarbonize global data center operations while supporting rapid business growth
- Engaging 45% of Synopsys suppliers (for purchased goods and services and capital goods, by expenditure) to set science-based targets by 2027
