The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) website has many articles available to the public in the articles and resources section. One is a checklist developed for the BOMA Energy Efficiency Program (BEEP) that is a educational program that experts in the field can become credentialed in.
The checklist provides 30 low or no cost ways to improve the energy efficiency of a building and mentions that the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that buildings if managed properly and implement these steps can lead to a 30% reduction in energy use. With very little or no cost upfront to achieve these savings all should attempt to influence these types of changes within the operations of their portfolio of buildings. Please take a look at the list below and let us know if you have any questions or need assistance in any way.
