Member-Client CA Technologies Exhibits Strong Emissions Reduction Performance In Latest Sustainability Report
SR Inc Member-Client CA Technologies released its latest Sustainability Report covering the 2017 calendar year last week. The report is written in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 (Core) Reporting Standards, including external assurance of the company’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory. This report is also noteworthy for its alignment with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and incorporation of the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact.
CA Technologies demonstrates a leading practice in sustainability reporting by sharing the methodology and result of its materiality assessment, whereby it determined the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) topics most important to the company and its stakeholders. Through this process, described in detail here, CA Technologies identified GHG Emissions & Climate Mitigation as the most important issue for both the company and its external stakeholders. In 2017, CA Technologies reported a total of 47,841 metric tons of GHG emissions, an impressive 50% reduction from its 2006 baseline– equivalent to taking over 10,000 cars off the road for one year. It is continuing its ambitious commitments to GHG reductions, with a 40% reduction goal by 2030 from a 2015 baseline, and has committed to setting a Science Based Target.
SR Inc is pleased to work with clients like CA Technologies that are making meaningful strides towards more sustainable high-performance, and we look forward to continuing helping them and other leading Member-Clients to chart the path for companies to follow.
