Job Description
Sustainability Roundtable Inc (SR Inc) is the leader in Sustainability Program management as a service. “SR Inc” provides leading companies with a confidential, membership based, Strategic Advisory & Support Service that helps management teams: Set Goals, Drive Progress & Report Results (internally and externally) as they lead their organization to more sustainable high-performance in real estate, energy, waste, water and relevant employee engagement. SR Inc Renewable Energy Procurement Services (REPS) also helps Member-clients understand and procure on-site and off-site renewable energy.
SR Inc seeks a highly motivated “inside sales” specialist in Greater Boston with 1-3 years’ experience selling to fast growth technology firms and Fortune 1000 executives. The optimal candidate will have experience selling for leading corporate real estate firms such as CBRE, JLL or for membership based companies like the Corporate Executive Board or the Advisory Board Company; and will have a developed interest in more sustainable business.
Successful candidates will have strong professional references and a demonstrated commitment to professional excellence, client service, teamwork and the highest levels of integrity. Educational and work experience in more sustainable operations or business are preferred, but not required. The selected candidate will begin as a 32 hour a week Independent Contractor for no more than 90 days to explore the fit with SR Inc’s small, mission driven, team.
The sales associate’s title will be: “Membership Development Manager.” She or he will be personally managed and mentored by the CEO and COO in weekly, in-person meetings. The CEO and COO will prepare the Membership Development Manager for a semi-annual review and promotion based on SR Inc’s stated values. Over two years, it is SR Inc’s intention to provide what amounts to an advanced degree in sustainable business development as well as exceptional contacts in the field of more sustainable business; and the opportunity for continued promotion.
Many talk about “embedding sustainability in corporate operations” but SR Inc has been helping Member Executives do just that for more than nine years. Successful candidates will be confident they can help bring the benefit of SR Inc’s annual Strategic Advisory Service in more sustainable operations to top, relevant, decision-makers.
The sales associate will help qualify, win, schedule and facilitate a minimum of two meetings a week with Directors of Corporate Real Estate, Sustainability Directors and/or Portfolio Managers who are responsible for large leased or owned real estate portfolios nationally.
The sales associate will serve as the junior sales partner to SR Inc’s most senior executives. The position will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to learn about the many aspects of a growing, mission centered, company in the burgeoning field of corporate sustainability.
