SR Inc welcomes Uber to the Sustainable Business & Enterprise Roundtable
Uber Technologies – headquartered in San Francisco, CA – develops, markets, and operates a ridesharing mobile application in more than 600 cities around the world to ignite opportunity by setting the world in motion. In addition to helping people get from point A to point B, Uber is working to bring the future closer with self-driving technology and urban air transport, helping people order food quickly and affordably, removing barriers to healthcare, creating new freight-booking solutions, and helping companies provide a seamless employee travel experience.
In 2018 Uber announced committing to $10 million over the next three years to campaign for ideas that focus on urban sustainability and improving the cities they serve. Uber will use The Shared Mobility Principles for Livable Cities, which was developed by the leading international NGOs in sustainable transportation, as their guiding principles in determining how to allocate this fund.
